 Perform your own SmartPublisher 5 "Mini" Updates!

Pre1 Software's new system of automatic release notification gives SmartPublisher 5 customers the ability to update their existing version to our latest release. This new system has had a positive impact on our ability to quickly deliver bug fixes and feature enhancements to our version 5 customers. When such changes are made, an email notification goes out to each RapidRelease customer on our Support Plus Maintenance program. The email contains release notes about the update, a link to the download the update and instructions on how to install it. On occasion, an update may require our assistance. In those cases, the email directs customers to contact us at their convenience to arrange the update.
Be sure updates@pre1.com is in your address book and check your inbox for update notifications!

Tip of the Month - Effective Rate Editing

You can efficiently edit groups of rates. First isolate the rates you want to change.  To choose Display, click the "Display" button at the top of the list.  This will isolate all of the rates of type "Display". Select the "Ad Charges" tab to see the pricing for that rate and click the edit button to unlock the screen. This will allow you to edit the size, frequency and pricing for the current rate. If you open the status area in the left margin, you will see a total number of rates from the list.  If you wish to edit more of the rates in that list, click the right arrow on the status bar to go to the next record.

To optimize navigation through SmartPublisher, set your personal Navigation preferences.  From your main menu, select My Settings, then the Navigation tab.  Here you'll find several choices for versions of lists and screen, as well as defaults, to more quickly get you the information you're looking for.

For example, the top of the Navigation tab features a Main Menu tab selection, which allows you to choose the tab on your menu you prefer to see up on login and anytime you return to the main menu.  Just below that, you'll find account-related defaults to choose your default search method, correspondence type and account list.  Fine-tuning these settings may reduce efforts to reach information.
